Welcome Steve Holloway as medXcentral's 1000th member!

MedXcentral has always had humble roots. And, as planned, it's been a long, slow climb in membership...and will continue in that manner until it's truly ready to take flight. We're not in any rush. We're here for the long term.

Today, however, we did hit a milestone; 1000 members. Please help us welcome Steve Holloway of Health Claims…

New database for Medical Industry Social Media Networkers

As part of the medXcentral mission to Network the Medical and Health Care Online Universe, we have developed a new database, exclusively for the medical and health care industry, designed to complement and empower your current online social and professional networking efforts and we need you and/or your company in it. It is NOT a social network. It is a listing service so that you can find others and be found. The service is; MPOPS (pronounced; M-POPS) and it is offered through our… Continue

One small milestone.... we hit 50 members. Not much.. but we're moving along....

Hi folks. We're inching forward for now. Not a problem.. it's to be expected. And, we just wanted to say a quick thanks for helping us hit 50 members.

We may only be at 50, but our membership is quite diverse. We have medical professionals, blog administrators, job board operators and other online community administrators already here. You will find links to their online locations listed on their member pages. Have a look around and make a few more good connections. And, if you know… Continue

Thank you for the welcome Jim!
I look forward to checking the network out and contributing where I can. I believe in these connections we make, for the future of health care and for our own well-being.

Jim, It amazes me that every time I come to this site that you've made upgrades and changes. You work your butt off, only to see what I do on Medical Mingle, which is lack of new members and lack of participation by existing members. It's like banging your head against the wall. Every time I come here, and see the lack of member involvement, it makes me feel better about what I see on my site. At least I'm not alone.

Jim, I suggest that you monitor who joins this network. I manage a Ning Community (http://members.nonclinicaljobs.com) and it used to be an open network - anyone could join. Then, after I got hit with a SPAM user, I decided to filter those who wish to join. You can identify the spammers quickly since they are all automated and they don't fill out the profile questions with any thought. Now, we don't have any problems with SPAM. You've built a good community here and I think it's worth preserving its reputation.

I didn't get anything on my wall. Just letting you know. :) Now...if only I could get BofA to be able to keep hackers out of our checking accounts (business & personal), that'd be even better.
