Spirituality is of course a good reason to overcome from addiction problem. It is very important to choose such type of practices that can become the base as well as reason for leaving the addiction.

As far as the word addiction is concerned it does not mean by using high amount of alcohol or drugs. The model of spiritual says that a disconnection from God or a Higher Power may causes addiction. And due to that separation causes problems and people suffer, sometimes they fail to live according to God's will or direction. Last but not the least only one question comes in my mind that How do one can evaluate his/her life in terms of the relationship with God or any other Higher Power?

Alcohol and drug addiction affects the whole family. Family members are affected in different ways, especially the person who loves the addict and enables the addiction. People adopt many ways to get rid of this... therapy, recovery support groups, affirmations and visualization, meditation and relaxation techniques, spiritual and religious practices to name a few.
